F115
Yamaha has been leading the way in the 115 horsepower four-stroke category for over ten years, with exceptional models that have proven the true value and versatility that a four-stroke outboard can deliver Australian boaters. With its increased engine capacity and a weight reduction of 15kg, the latest generation Yamaha F115 offers the best power-to-weight performance in its class - while maintaining an extremely fuel efficient and smooth operation that Yamaha four-strokes are famous for. This engine utilises a 16 valve, dual overhead camshaft design, electronic fuel injection and big bore throttle body to deliver awesome acceleration and mid-range responsiveness.
The 115 horsepower is now available in both signature Yamaha grey and new pearlescent white colour options, in both long and extra long shaft length.
Technical Specification
Yamaha Outboard Tech Yamaha offers a range of rigging options to suit every boat. Check out the full suite of controls, gauges, switches, props and other technologies, plus outboard performance data.
Multi-Point Electronic Fuel Injection The Multi-Point Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system, injects the right amount of fuel into the combustion chamber at the optimum timing, for ‘first-time, every-time’ hot and cold starting, improved fuel efficiency, excellent throttle response.
Offset Crankshaft The crankshaft design is offset by 5mm from the centre of the cylinder. This innovative design decreases internal friction and promotes a more efficient transfer of power to the crankshaft.
Shift Dampener System Yamaha’s Shift Dampener System (SDS), built into selected Yamaha propellers, delivers smooth and quiet operation when shifting in and out of gear by absorbing the force that is created.
Single Ram Power Trim and Tilt The compact and light-weight single ram power, trim and tilt (PTT) unit and bracket have been developed exclusively for this engine.
Variable Trolling Control Yamaha’s variable trolling control allows the skipper to precisely adjust the engine’s idling speed from 600 to 1000 RPM in 50 RPM increments. The ability to finely tune the trolling speed allows fisherman to perfect their lure presentation when chasing different species of fish.
1832cc Four-Cylinder Engine The 16 valve, 1.8 litre, dual overhead camshaft design delivers superior efficiency in the transfer of intake and exhaust gasses throughout the RPM range. The F115 incorporates larger intake and exhaust valves which enhance response, efficiency and mid-range torque.
81MM Cylinder Bore The cylinder bore size has been increased from 79mm to 81mm which provides more engine torque. A larger valve was adopted for increased transfer efficiency for both intake and exhaust.
Counter Rotating Propeller This engine offers a counter rotating propeller option for improved steering control for twin engine setups, ensuring the vessel maintains a 'neutral helm' at any speed.
